After 'Double Dhamaal', the sequel of 'Dhamaal', proved to be a winner at the box office, Mohit Suri's 'Murder 2', the sequel of 'Murder', has also wowed the audience, prompting filmmakers Mahesh Bhatt and Mukesh Bhatt of Vishesh films (who produced 'Murder' and 'Murder 2') to announce that they would make 'Murder 3', trade sources said.

The huge opening taken by 'Murder 2' at the box office which trade sources say is the second biggest opening taken by a film this year, has led the Bhatts to make the decision to make 'Murder 3'.

Infact, the entire team of 'Murder 2', including director Mohit Suri, Mukesh Bhatt and Mahesh Bhatt, feel that after the overwhelming public response to 'Murder` and `Murder 2`, the franchise must be taken forward.

Trade sources said the producers plan to rope in a fresh face for the casting of the female lead for 'Murder 3'.

However, Emraan Hashmi, who has featured in 'Murder' as well as 'Murder 2', is certain to remain the male lead for 'Murder 3' as well.

Released in theatres on July 8, 'Murder 2, which featured Emrasan Hashmi as the male lead and model-turned actress Jacqueline Fernandez as the female lead, got a huge public response and is touted to be the biggest hit of the year interms of return for investment.
